Fluorescent Trapping Agents for Reactive Metabolites Detection: CysGlu-Dan, Dap-Dan 2023/08/07

CysGlu-Dan and Dap-Dan, fluorescent trapping agents developed by Professor Tomoyuki Ohe at Keio University, make it possible to detect and quantify a wide range of reactive metabolites1),2).

CysGlu-Dan is capable of efficiently detecting metabolites such as aldehydes that were not detectable using traditional trapping agent, dGSH (Dansyl-GSH), thus expanding the range of target reactive metabolites1).

Dap-Dan allows for the detection and quantification of acyl glucuronides, metabolites of drugs containing carboxyl groups. Dap-Dan detects such metabolites much more efficiently than traditional trapping agent dansyl-lysine-phenylalanine dipeptide (dKF)2).
