In the case of storage at room temperature, do not expose the items to temperature above 30 degree C for a long time or to direct sunlight. The recommended temperature description for each item is given prior to the compound name in the catalog.
Stability and storage of items of the 4000 Series:
Biologically active peptides in the 4000
Series should be stored in a freezer and
kept dry to prevent unnecessary deterioration,
even if they are stable at ambient temperatures
for several days. Almost all biologically
active peptides are readily soluble in water
or suitable solvents as indicated in the
instruction sheet. Peptides in solution are
relatively unstable at temperatures even
lower than -20 degree C, therefore, a peptide
solution once prepared should be used as
soon as possible. If the solution must be
stored overnight, it should be kept in a
freezer at temperatures lower than -20 degree
C. In the case of prolonged storage of the
peptide in solution, the homogeneity of the
peptide must be reconfirmed occasionally.
Stability and storage of items of the 14000 Series:
These lyophilized antisera should be stored
in a deep freezer. After reconstitution with
a buffer, the solution can be kept at 4 degree
C with a preservative for continuous use.
For extended storage of the solution, it
should be frozen at -20 degree C.
Storage of items of Yanaihara Institute Inc.:
Peptide antibodies of Yanaihara Institute
Inc. should be stored at temperature lower
than -20 degree C.
Stability and storage of items of the 3000 Series:
Items in "Bulk" package should
be stored at 2-10 degree C under dry conditions.
However, some of the items should be stored
in a freezer because they may decompose easily
at higher temperatures such as 20 degree
C. Most of the peptide-MCA, peptide-pNA and peptide-aldehyde products, which are
packed in vials, have been lyophilized from
water, acetic acid or dimethylsulfoxide solution,
and their quantities have been determined
precisely. For long storage, such items should
be stored in a freezer under dry conditions.
Once solution of peptides of the 3000 Series
are prepared, they should be used as soon
as possible, especially in the case of peptide-aldehydes.
Storage of items of the 3500 Series:
Enzymes for peptide and protein chemistry
should be stored at 4 degree C (do not freeze).
Storage of items of the 2000 and 1000 Series:
Most of the items of the 2000 and 1000 Series
should be stored at 2-10 degree C or at room
temperature except for those recommended
to be stored in a freezer.
Storage of items of the 22000 Series:
Carbohydrate derivatives of the 22000 Series should be stored in a freezer.
